If you're here we're going to assume you want to know more about us than the ABOUT page handed over. Well, you're in the right place!
Over the past six months our lives have changed a lot. David retired from serving in the military with 21 years of service. He loved everything about serving his country and is now very thankful to be working with the next generation of leaders teaching JROTC. Transitioning from military life to civilian life came with some valley's, but God is there in our valleys and we're so thankful for the next adventure He has in store for us. I'm (Sarah) still working with authors, making their dreams of publication come true as I design book covers for them. You may be wondering if I'll take those graphic design skills to my photography and the answer is no (mostly). I have been known to add a sunset or more dramatic clouds when the ones captured just didn't do justice to the mood in the photo. However, the extent is limited to there. I prefer for the photography experience to match the photograph captured. If a beautiful sunset happened that night, I'll do my best to make sure it's in the photograph (one way or another!). Our photography is as pure of a form of art as I'm able to experience outside of my art journaling, which I still find at times heavily dependent on the artistic musings of others. From the moment we make sure you look amazing, to capturing the image, to editing, to delivery, everything was done by us and I love that about our photography. It's genuine and from our heart. Why take this journey you may wonder? Well, something happens when you switch the camera to M and then pour over learning everything you can from many different photographers. You want to create something that's yours and not in a book (or on a Pinterest board). And for us, getting to serve with our photography in a ministry capacity for years has been such a blessing. Photography however, isn't a cheap hobby to partake in, and if we want to grow, we have to stop working for free (all the time at least). So here we are, placing ourselves into the very saturated market of photography, trusting those who need us will find us, whether in a ministry setting or as a photographer you can afford. Either way, we can't wait to be working with you and sharing our many projects (and experiences). As new photographers we can offer the 'firsts' fresh from our mind vs years down the road recollecting the many challenges we faced. You can grow right along with us and we hope your do! If you've read this far thank you and have a blessed Friday! Sarah Stilwell
